OUR COMPANY HISTORY
Coffee artists on a mission.
Larry's combines coffee excellence with a belief that business can be a force for good. Based in Raleigh's Five Points neighborhood, Larry's occupies a cluster of three buildings with a roastery in the center, incorporating solar water-heated floors, rainwater-driven restrooms and a massive passive-solar clear story. Nearly all Larry's Coffee is Organic, Fair Trade and Shade-Grown, (including the fully recyclable k-cups the company recently launched).
Larry's is a certified B-Corporation, modeling the role of business as a source of good in the world. The company is also a founding member of Cooperative Coffees, a group of independent coffee roasters importing coffee directly from farmers with the goal of defining a higher standard of partnership and fairness.

OUR FACILITIES
We try to make choices with consequences that are good for our local community, our animal friends, and the planet at large. It turns out that our responsible choices end up leading us to new friendships, fun experiences and a good time in general. Pun intended, it's good energy to have fun with responsibility.

NATURAL DAYLIGHTING
Our giant "clearstory" saves energy & makes prettier light than any bulbs.
INSULATION
State-o-the-art spray foam insulation keeps us toasty in the winter an cool in the summer.
ZONE HEATING
Zone heating saves energy by only using it where folks are working.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
Our single serve k-cups are recyclable. Just empty and rinse then add to your recycling bin.
REFLECTIVE FLOORING
Sunlight from the "clearstory" bounces up from our special reflective floor paint.
ORGANIC
All the beans being slow-roasted here are 100% Organic, Fair Trade & Shade grown.
COMPOSTING
Our worms in the worm bin work hard to keep our food waste out of the landfill.
SOLAR
Around the building are the solar collectors that heat our radiant floors. (Especially comfy on the tootsies!)
RECLAMATION & REUSE
Local artist, Jeff Hurr, made our gate using reclaimed materials.
RAINWATER HARVESTING
We have 4 tanks that hold a total of 2,500 gallons of rain water that we collect and use to run our bathrooms and water our gardens.
